KBK Coatings Forest

In October 2004, after the land allocation from Environment and Forests Ministry of Turkey,  KBK Coatings employees have planted 2000 roots of  stone pine (Pinus Pinea), inside the area of 2 hectares to form “KBK Coatings Forest”

Very high oxygen production capacity and lower need for irrigation make stone pine plantation one of the most important measures to be taken against global warming.

According to the data supplied by NASA, one stone pine tree has 150 years of average life and produces 3 tons of oxygen per year.. This means 2000 stone pine trees of KBK Coatings Forest will produce 9000 tons of oxygen if they complete their expected life.

We hope that KBK Coatings Forest will complete its average life and be useful for humanity.
